I, William Meroney of Guilford County being weak of Body but of Sound Memory Blessed be God do this 14th day of December in the year 1786 make and constitute this to be my Last will and Testament in the manner foloing that is to say first I give to my son John Meroney two hundred and twenty fore acres of Land Lying on the East Side of Rock branch. I allso will that my wife Ruth Meroney may hold the clearing and Liberty of Clearing of thirty acres more joining the Plantation and timber to Seport (support) the said Plantation indureing hir widowhood and no longer I allso will that my son John Meroney shall keep my Isaac Meroney till he is twenty years old and to gave him schoolling and a horse and twenty pounds or the same in money. I also will that my Daughter Rachel Meroney shall have a feather bed and furniture and a cow at the age of sixteen. I also will that my Daughter Elizabeth Meroney Shall have a feather Bed and furniture and a cow at the age of Sixteen. I also will that my Daughter Lyda Meroney shall have a feather bed and furniture and a cow at age of Sixteen. I also will that my son John Meroney shall have my gray horse. I allso will that my wife Ruth Meroney Shall have the bay mare called fancy and I also will that George Hampton shall have a cow When at the age of twenty years old. I also give to my son Nathan Meroney five Shillings. I also will that the remaining Part of my Estate Shall be Divided amongst my children equally and I do apoint my son John Meroney to be Executrix of this my last will and testament in Witness whear of I have set my hand and seal.
