ROBERT MITCHEL'S WILL GUILFORD COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA Robert Mitchel Will EutemZ on page 229, November 1775 In the Name of God Amen. I, Robert Mitchel of Guilford County in the province of North Carolina being Weak in Body but of Sound Mind & Memory (Blessed be God) do this sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and seventy five. Make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner following. Wit: I Recommend my Soul to God that gave it, & my Body to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the Discretion of My Executors. And as Concerning my Worldly Affairs that God that bestowed on me. I shall Dispose of them in the following manner Viz. 1st I Give and bequeath to Margarate Mitchel my beloved wife the one third part of all my lands and Tenaments and also one half of all my Chattles; Viz- Horses, cows & Sheep and one half of all my other movables with the House I now live in during her Natural Life and at her Death to be Deposed of at her Discretion Either to her son, Adam or her Grandson, Robert Mitchel. 2ly I Give to my son Adam the two third Remaining parts of my Lands 3ly I give to Mary Ross and Jean Anderson, my Daughters, Cache Give pounds 4ly I give to my grandson Robert Mitchell Eighteen pounds 5ly I give to my youngest Daughter Rebecca the Other one half of my Cattle Viz.
