First It is my will and desire that all my just debts together with my funeral charges shall be paid by my executor, as soon after my decease as assets shall come into his hands. Second I will and bequeath to my wife Mary Parsons, the whole of my lands and plantation lying on Deep River in the county of Guilford, adjoining the lands of Reuben Parsons, Joseph Coltrane and others containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less known as the Barnard place, one undivided half of which belonged to my wife before I married her and the other half I bought of Elihu Barnard for her own use and benefit during her life. And I also will and bequeath to my wife Mary Parsons one bed and furniture, a loom and cotton wheel and also all my other household and kitchen furniture of every description, not hereinafter disposed of, for her own use and to be at her own disposal absolutely. Third And as all my other children, not herein named, have allready had all that part of my estate and property to which they are entitled, or which I intend for them and as near as I can make it, an equitable share thereof and as those to whom some bequests are made have not received their share, I therefore do will and bequeath to my daughter, Jane Kirman, two hundred dollars. Fourth I will and bequeath to my daughter Martha Ann Lowe two hundred dollars. Fifth It is my will and desire that after the decease of my wife Mary Parsons that my daughter Amy Parsons shall have one undivided half that is to say seventy five acres of the Barnard tract of land which is hereinbefore bequeathed to my wife during her life. And it is further my will and desire that my daughter Amy Parsons shall have my bay colt, and my large wash kettle also one young cow. Sixth And I hold three shares of stock in the Cape Fear Navigation Company, the value of which I do not know, those three shares I will and bequeath to my three sons Peter, Green and Reuben Parsons. Seventh any residue of my estate that may be left after paying my just debts and the legacy herein bequeathed it is my will and desire it shall be equally divided among my children that are now living share and share alike. Having now disposed of my earthly estate to my satisfaction, I hereby nominate ordain and appoint my son in law James Lowe my sole executor to execute and carry out this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning thereof. Hereby revoking all other and former wills by me made.
