All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sonia Parsons Haga n/a August 28, 2008, 1:51 am Source: Personal Written: 1841 Recorded: 1841 Thomas Parsons ~ 1841 (considered to be a son of George Parsons Sr) I Thomas Parsons of the county of Guilford and state of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, but considering the unscertainty of my Earthly existance do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first that my executor hereinafter named, shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relatives and friends and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts howsoever and to whomsoever owing out of the moneys that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate. Item. I give and devise? to my beloved wife, Jane Parsons, all that tract of land on which I now live also all the rest and residence of my personal property of every description that is now in my possession to raise my children on as the property that she owned at the time of our marriage. Item. I give to my first wifes children all that tract of land that lies on Alamance Creek that came to my by my first wife to be equally divided between them all which will make them equal with my last wife and children and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend Abraham Gossett my lawful Executor All intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and even parts and clause thereof, hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said Thomas Parsons do hereunto set my hand and seal this the 10 tenth day of July AD 1841.
