WILL OF JAMES RUSEL (RUSSEL/RUSSELL) 1811 In the Name of God Amen, I, James Rusel of the County of Guilford & State of North Carolina planter being frail in body but perfect in my memory Beinging in possession of Land & other property. Remembering that all flesh Living must Die first I Commit my sould to god that gave it & my Body to the Dust from when it came to be Buried in a Decent manner & I leave as muchof my Estate to my Executors William Vowel and Alexander Rusel as Shall pay for my Buriel Expences and to my son William Rusel five Shillings Starling and to my son Robert Rusel five Shillings Starling and to my son David Rusel fifty acres of land joining Sampson Stewart & Luke *Dier and to my son Alexander Rusel one hundred and fifty acres of land and if my son David Rusel don't come in six years that fifty acres shall fall to my son Alexander Rusel and to my son Alexander Rusel I leave all my moveable property and to my daughter Martha I leave five shillings Starling Now By Thease * constitute this to be my last Will and testement I hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this tenth day of April 1811 | s/ James his V mark Rusel (Seal) Test William Vowel (Jurat) Wiley Stewart (Jurat) And if Alexander calls his oldest son James what I have left my son Alexander shall fall to him.
