C-453. Entered in Book "B" page 453. North Carolina State Archives. Guilford County. Will of Noble Shaw The 8th, 12 m, 1855. This I leave as my last will and testament. First I will that all my ------be hail me. Next I will all that land where Joseph and Mary Leake now lives to them and to their heirs. As to Aaron Shaw, I have given him his portion to equil with them. Next I will them one thousand dollars a piece that is Aaron and Mary [Ann]. Next I will my wife this home place with all that [pertains] unto with what money is due me during her natural life or widowhood. Witness: Jesse Benbow [jurat] and John M. Bowman. Signature North Carolina, Guilford County. Court of plea and quarter session. February term 1856. The execution of the forgiving will is duly proven by Jesse Benbow [Justice of the Peace], one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who also proves the due attestation of John M. Bowman the other subscribing witness. Ordered to be recorded. Wherefrom Cecily Shaw and Joseph M. Leake are appointed administrations with the will annexed- enter into bond in the sum of ten thousand dollars with Jesse Benbow and Joseph Hoskins security thereto, and are qualified in open court according to Cain.
