All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Edmondson Thompson n/a August 28, 2008, 2:05 am Source: Personal Written: 1867 Recorded: 1877 Gravener Stanley State of North Carolina Guilford County Be it known that I Gravener Stanley of the county and state afore said being of sound and disposing mind and memory and desirous of making a disposition of my worldly affairs before my death, do make, publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form as follows to Wit Item 1st I commend my soul to God who gave it and direct my Executor herein after appointed to provide for my body a suitable and decent burial Item 2d It is my will that my Executor sell enough of my chattle property to pay my burial expenses unless my heirs prefer to pay the expenses, and keep the property; in that case I wish none of my property exposed to sale Item 3d I give to my loving wife Elizabeth Stanley after my burial expenses are paid, all of my perishable chattle and real estate during her natural life to her own use and control Item 4th After the death of my wife Elizabeth Stanley, I give and bequeath to my son Milton Stanley his heirs or assigns forever all of my real estate cosisting of one tract of land containing seventy five acres where I now live adjoining the land of Joseph Edward, Paul Swain and others, also all of my perishable and chattle property that may not consumed by wife during her life. Item 5th I nominate and appoint my son Milton Stanley Executor to this my last will + testament, in testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 5th day of the 4th mo AD 1867 Gravener Stanley {Seal} Signed and Sealed in the presence of Jonathon Harris Jonathon E.
