COURT DECREED SALE
   Land for sale in pursuance of an order of the Chancery Court, will be sold 
in the town of Halifax, on the 24th December next, at the tavern occupied by 
MR. SHIRLEY TISDALE, a valuable tract of land, belonging to the Devisees of 
WM. LITTLEJOHN, deceased, and lying in the County of Halifax on the westerly 
side of Conoconary Swamp, about eight miles below the town of Halifax and one 
mile from the Roanoke River. It is estimated to contain 996 acres of which the 
proportion that is cleared and under cultivation cannot now be known with 
certainty.
