Dickens, Jr. and Nancy Dickens (also her maiden name). I transcribed with all spelling and grammatical errors. Private: Enlisted at age 18, January 24, 1862. Wounded in action at Ellerson,s Mill, VA, June 26, 1862 and died of wounds in a hospital in Richmond, VA, July 12, 1862. ("North Carolina Troops, 1861-1865, A Roster: Vol III Infantry" by Louis H.
