11 June 1821   The Edenton Gazette June 11, 1821
   HALIFAX, N.C.-- June 3rd -- Last Wednesday morning a horrid scene took 
place in this County. A Father and his Son, by the name of CROWELL killed 
themselves. -- One by shooting and the other by cutting his own throat. -- 
They were both rich and out of debt.
