Essex Register 1818
Date: 1818-05-20; Paper: Essex Register

The Raleigh paper mentioning J.J. Williams Esq. and the great age of 91 at 
which he died adds: this is another example of longevity in Halifax County and 
in the neighborhood in which he lived. Within a short time, Mrs. Scott died, 
aged 84. Samuel Harper 80. And there is now living Mr. Moody, aged 100. John 
Mabry who lived in that neighborhood died at 102 and Thomas Moody, still 
living, is near 100.
