II, P. 7 BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BLYTHE Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Blythe were held Monday, April 23, at 4 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Roanoke Rapids, N.C., with Rev. Lewis Sytons officiating, assisted by Rev. Otis Brady. Burial was in Cedarwood Cemetery. Mr. Blythe, 77, died at his residence, 921 Hamilton Street, Roanoke Rapids, Saturday night, April 21. He was a native of Southampton County and the son of the late William A. and Mrs. Nancy Cobb Blythe. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Ruth Britt; seven daughters, Mrs. Ollie Jackson of Franklin, Mrs. Albert Pulley of Burlington, N.C. Mrs. J.H. Vaughan, Mrs. Catherine Dickens, Mrs. Elsie Harris, Mrs. B.Y. Erwin and Mrs. Lewis Cranford of Roanoke Rapids; a son, Herbert Blythe of Roanoke Rapids; a step-son, R.L. Britt of Sedley; three sisters, Mrs. J.T. Bradshaw of Franklin, Mrs. P.L. Lewis of Richmond and Mrs. Mary W. Wyant of Roanoke, and a brother T.A. Blythe of Sedley.
