I, P. 8 GRACE AMANDA POPE DAUGHTREY Mrs. Grace Pope Daughtrey, 73, died late Saturday night in a Franklin hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of John O. H. Daughtrey and a daughter of the late Dr. Joseph R. and Adelaide Futrell Pope of Halifax County, N.C. She had been a resident of Franklin for 40 years and was a member of the Congregational Christian Church here. Besides a her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Hope G. Crawford of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. J.A. Doran of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. W.S. Ritter and Mrs. W.K. Dines, both of Norfolk; her son, John Allen Daughtrey of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth P. Turner of Norfolk and Mrs. C.J. Wilson of Wilmington, Del.; her brother, R. Hunter Pope, Sr., of Enfield, N.C.; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Tucker G. Humphries, pastor of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Burial was in the Scotland Neck, N.C. cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Laurie Pope, Dr. R.C. Pope, Sam Wilcox Pope, Richard H. Pope, Jr., Jack L. Wilson, J. Lawrence Johnson and Robert A.
