DIED, on Thursday last, MAJOR LUNSFORD LONG, Clerk of Halifax County Court, in 
which capacity he discharged the duties of his office with the greatest 
accuracy, and to the entire satisfaction of the public. He has left a wife and 
several children, together with a number of friends and relatives to deplore 
his lost.
