MRS. FRANK UNDERWOOD RAWLS

   LITTLETON, N.C. – A funeral service for Mrs. Frank Underwood Rawls, was 
held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Smithfield, Va., by the Rev. 
James H. Newsom Jr.  Colonial Funeral Home of Smithfield was in charge.

   Mrs. Rawls died Thursday in a nursing home.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Dr. David Luther 
Rawls. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Suffolk and was a 
charter member of the Col. William Allen chapter of Daughters of the American 
Revolution. She was active in other patriotic service clubs.

   Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Robert T. Thorne of the home, and several 
other nieces and nephews.
