Halifax County February Court 1854 This is the heading at the top of page 359. The will of W. F. S. Alston begins about 2/3 down the page. In the name of God Amen. I W. F. S. Alston, being about to surrender my body to the grave & my soul to the god who gave it, I do make this my last will and testament. I appoint J. F. ___ to collect & pay all claims [against ?] me & J. [N ? or M ? or W ?] Evans of Smithfield [he ?] is to collect and [keep ?] as agent for my wife & children -- unless my wife marries & [then ?] she is have her third part.
