BRINKLEY, JUDITH Will contested by JAMES MATTHEWS, PRESLEY COX, NANCY HOLT, ELISAHA HUNT (?) and JOHN THOMPSON (gdn. of the heirs of Robert Brinkley, dec'd.) but proved, Nov., 1799, with William Daniel and William Edwards, witnesses. Several other court cases involving the estate, including Charles Merryman, James Stevens and Frederick Schulzer. BRINLEY, ROBERT Administration grtd. Jams Matthews and Presley Cos, Nov., 1799. Inventory and account of sales by the admrs., Feb., 1800. BRINKLEY, WILLIAM Will proved Nov., 1796 with William Brinkley, witness. Jeremiah Brinkley qualified as exr. Inventory and account of sales by the said exr., Feb., 1797. The dec'd left a legacy to the children of Charity Hunt: William Brinkley Hunt, Sarh Hunt, Robert Hunt and Polly Hunt, all minors with Jeremiah Brinkley, gdn. BRINKLEY, WILLIAM Will proved Aug., 1797 with John Jenkins, witness. William Brinkley and Abraham Brinkley qualified as exrs. Inventory by the exrs., Feb., 1798. Since James Matthews contested the will of Judith Brinkley, I think it is probable that this is the James Matthews you are searching for who is protecting his wife's interest in the property of her mother. I only have the Brinkley data because I think that the Nancy Holt mentioned in this same estate is the Nancy Holt who married Joseph Holt, the son of Thomas and Ann Arrington Holt. ============================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
