Halifax County, NC - Will of Herbert, William-1820 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jim Curlin Summary: Will of William Herbert which names wife Elizabeth, grandsons William Herbert and Thomas Loch, and granddaughter Elizabeth Herbert. Grandchildren William and Elizabeth are believed to be the children of John and Anne Herbert. Son John Herbert is deceased by November 1815 and daughter- in-law Anne Herbert has remarried Thomas Curlin by 16 June 1817. The will is undated, however he probably died approximately six months prior to the November Court 1820. This would mean that he most likely died April or May of 1820.
