She was survived by three daughters: Maizie West, Joyce Graham, and Janet McCaskill; one sister Rosa Browning. Burial: Erwin Memorial Park. Mrs Sessoms was pre-deceased by her husband: Curtis L. Sessoms, born on March 25, 1899 to Henry Asbury and Elizabeth Sessoms of Erwin, NC. Mr. Sessoms died Oct. 1969. Mr. Sessoms was survived by his wife, Alva Byrd Sessoms; two sons, Glendell and Daniel; two daughters Helen Andrews and Wendolyn Baker; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Taylor and Nellie Petty. He was pre-deceased by his parents Henry Asbury and Elizabeth Bedsole Sessoms. Burial in Erwin Cemetary, Harnett County, North Carolina. ---------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Alva Mae Byrd Sessoms was born on Aug. 28, 1904 and died on Sept. 18, 2000. She was survived by two sons, Glendell and Daniel; and a daughter, Helen Andrews. Mrs. Sessoms was predeceased by one daughter, Wendolyn Baker, and her husband, Hubert Percy Sessoms. Burial in Erwin Cemetary, Harnett County, NC. ---------------------------------------------------- Howard Ernest Sessoms of Homeland, Florida (formerly of Harnett and Cumberland Counties) died in Winter Haven Hospital on Dec. 14, 2000. He was an Army Veteran of World war II and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. Mr. Sessoms wrote the poem "SHOULD WE BURN THE FLAG" that was entered into the congressional records on September 6, 1990. Mr. Sessoms was pre-deceased by his wife Elberta Hinson Sessoms. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Wilson, Bobbie Hucks, and Bonita Edge; two brothers; Weldon Sessoms and Gene Sessoms; and two sisters, Elizabeth Hayes and Peggy Brock. He was the son of the late Henry and Mamie Sessoms of Cumberland County, NC. Burial was in Homeland Cemetary, Homeland, Florida. ---------------------------------------------------- James Hubert Sessoms born Nov. 18, 1924 died on May, 6, 1975 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Cumberland County, NC. He was survived by his wife Margaret Wilson Sessoms; his mother, Mamie Sessoms; three sisters, Doris Mckeithan, Elizabeth Hayes, and Peggy Brock; and three brothers, Weldon, Howard, and Gene. He was pre-deceased by his father Henry Albert Sessoms. Burial was in Cumberland Memorial Park, Cumberland County, NC .
