D. G. Johnson The Standard of Raleigh, July 23, 1862 DEATH OF PVT. D. G. JOHNSON Died, in Richmond, Va., on Wednesday, the 2nd of July [PVT.] D.G. JOHNSON, from a wound in the breast received in the battle on Tuesday. PVT. JOHNSON was a zealous member of the Christian church, and a noble, brave soldier. He volunteer in the first company that left Harnett County. PVT. JOHNSON bore all the hardships of the war with a Christian fortitude. He has left many friends to mourn his loss.
