Charlotte Daily Observer 1899

The Louisville, Ky. Dispatch has a sketch and cut of Charles I. Stewart, Esq., 
who has recently become editor-in-chief of the paper. Mr. Stewart is a Tar 
Heel, a native of Harnett County, and, as has been heretofore stated, was for 
a time connected with the old Charlotte Chronicle. It is always a pleasure for 
the Observer to see a North Carolinian climb a notch higher up.
