Obituary - John A. Dean,  d. 10 Sept. 1949

Sanford  - John Anderson Dean, 72, died Saturday morning at 1 o'clock at
his home in Mamers.  He was born in Harnett County the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Willie P. Dean and was a merchant.  Funeral services will be held
Sunday at 3 o'clock at Antioch Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor
the Rev. G. R. Moore.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Surviving
are his wife, the former, Lizzie Thomas, two sons, Willie, John and
Bobby Dean, both of the home; two daughters, Juanita and Peggy Joe of
the home; three brothers, W. H. Dean, J. R. Dean and J. D. Dean, all of
Fuquay Springs, Route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Tutor of Fuquay
Springs, Route 1, and Mrs. Frances Bake of Fuquay Springs, Route 2.
