London trishahen@earthlink.net ==================================================================== May 6,1914 Neill McKay Murchison Dead After about two months in the State Hospital at Raleigh with his condition growing gradually less hopeful, Neill McKay Murchison passed away there Tuesday, May 5, 1916 and was brought to Lillington Tuesday night and buried at 11 AM Wednesday from his home church at Summerville cemetery. Rev J.K.Hall conducted the funeral services. The deceased was 55 years of age. He was well known throughout this community, being connected by relationship to a wide circle and having friends among all who knew him. His death is especially sad because he leaves a widow (Marn A. Cameron Murchison) with five small children (Hill, James, Lucy,Margaret and Lib). He, however leaves considerable property and a life insurance policy which his foresight and wisdom provided against a day of adversity. The deceased left two brothers, John Murchison, of Greensboro and Kenneth Murchison of Lillington and one sister, Miss White Murchison and a wide circle of relatives in the county. With his passage another link in the chain of life is broken for many and another foraged in the links of the eternal.
