HAYWOOD COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - J.R. Love to John [Henry] Dyer, 7 Jan 1860 ----¤¤¤¤---- Deed Book 1, page 197 "Know all men by these presents that I, J.R. Love by his agent P.W. Edwards are held and firmly bound unto John Dyer in the Penal sum of two hundred dollars to be void on condition that the said Love make or cause to be made a good and sufficient deed of Conveyance for fifty acres of land adjoining R.E. Medfords lands according to survey made by Edwards on the 15th March 1860, the deed to be made as soon as the said John Dyer shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the full and just sum of one hundred dollars agreeable to two notes of hand by said Dyer this day given to secure the payment of that sum, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue the mines and minerals absolutely reserved to the said Love with mining privileges given under my hand and seal this 7th day of January 1860. {Signed} J.R.
