Sorrells was a son of Joseph and Millie Sorrells]: "Know all men by these presents that I, John Strother am held and firmly bound unto William A. Sorrells in the penal sum of one hundred dollars on condition that I do by my self or agent make or cause to be made a sufficient deed of conveyance to one hundred acres of land on the head of Allen's Creek on both sides of the great road and above the land where Robert Minton now lives and joining his line and running toward the gap of the mountain, the deed to be made within three months after the said William A. Sorrells doth well and truly pay fifty dollars agreeable to a note of hand this day given for the same which is the price the said William A. Sorrells doth give for the land, then this obligation to be void or still remaining in full force and virtue. {Signed} John Strother by his agent R. Love.
