HAYWOOD COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - Estate of Robert Love to Joseph Sorrells

Haywood County Deed Book G, p. 354-355, recorded 1858, grantor
estate of Robert Love, grantee Joseph Sorrells [son of William
A. Sorrells and Jane Morrow Sorrells]:

"This indenture made this 22 day of May in the year 1857 between
J.R. Love for himself and J.R. Love, J.B. Love, D. Love, & Wm.
Welch as Executors of the estate of R[obert]. Love, deceased, of
the County of Haywood and State of North Carolina of the one
part, and Joseph Sorrells of the County and State as aforesaid
of the other part, Witnesseth that for and in consideration of
the sum of one hundred & thirty three dollars in hand paid by
him, J.R. Love his notes for the same, and the said J.R. Love
acknowledges himself fully satisfied doth by these presents
give, grant, bargain & sell unto the said Joseph Sorrells all of
that piece or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the
County of Haywood in the Allen Fork of Richland [Creek] and
including the place whereon Joseph Hawkins is now living.

"Beginning on a Beach on the West bank of said creek and runs
West one hundred & ten poles to a _?_ near the bank of a rocky
branch then North to Wm. Allens South from dry line of his upper
tract, then East with said line to Richland Creek, then South
with the meanders of said creek to the beginning, containing one
hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less. To have & to
hold to him the said Joseph Sorrells, his heirs and assigns
forever, and further the said J[ames] R[obert] Love, J.B. Love,
D. Love and Wm. Welch are Executors aforesaid doth by these
presents promise, agree to and with the said Joseph Sorrells to
warrant and forever defend the right title and interest in said
lands thus conveyed in fee simple and as far as they are
empowered to do by a deed from the Executors of J.G. Blunt to
J.R. Love & R. Love, deceased, & also by the authority vested in
us by the Last Will & Testament of R. Love, deceased, to do, In
witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day
and date above written. Witness, S.J. Hagan, J. Hawkins.

"State of North Carolina, Haywood County} Court of Pleas &
Quarter Sessions, Sept. Term 1858} The Execution of the within
deed was duly proven by the oath of Joseph Hawkins one of the
subscribing witnesses thereunto and recorded. Therefore let it
be registered... Registered November 28th 1858..."
