I Rubin E. Medford, being of Sound mind, do make this my last Will and Testament: As Follows First I will and bequeath to my beloved son Anzel Medford in consideration that he takes care of myself and his mother Rebecca Medford all of my lands adjoining Margaret Brownens, supposed to contain Fifty acres. Second I will and bequeath to my beloved son Seawell Medford in consideration that he takes care of myself and his mother Rebecca Medford my James Wyatt lands known as the Bear Pen Cove and containing about one hundred and twenty three acres, reserving my life time Estate in the same. Third I will and bequeath to my daughter Hester Medford one hundred dollars to be paid by my sons Anzel and Seawell Medford, and also she is to have one third of my personal property including my House Hold and Kitchen furniture. All of the abode is reserved by me during my life. and it is my desire that my son Seawell will look after the interest of my son Anzel after my death. Witness R.E.Medford (seal) J.A. Benners M.R. Buchanan Codicil and explanation to the above. First-I have deeded to my son A.L. Medford one hundred acres of land which I valued at three hundred and fifty Dollars and I also will him one dollar at my death. Which is all I intend him to have of my estate. Second-I have deeded to my daughter Adele Mull wife of John H. Mull fifty acres of land on Camp branch ,a part of what is knownas the Joseph Sorrel land which I valued at three hundred and fifty dollars, I also will her one dollar at my death, which is all I intend her to have of my estate. Third i have deeded to my daughter Haseltine Harrison, wife of Joseph A. Harrison three hundred and fifty dollars in land and I also will her one dollar at my death which is all I intend her to have of my estate. Fourth I have deeded to my daughter Lydia R. McClure wife of Jasper McClure Three hundred and fifty dollars in land and I also will her one dollar at my death which is all I intend her to have of my estate. Fifth I have deeded to my daughter Sarah Ann C. Harrison wife of Noah A. Harrison three hundred and fifty dollars in land and I also will her one dollar at my death, which is all I intend her to have of my estate. Sixth I have deeded to my son C.V. Medford three hundred and fifty dollars in land and I also will him one dollar at my death which is all I intend him to have of my estate. Seventh I have deeded to my son Avery B. Medford three hundred and fifty dollars in land and I also will him one dollar at my death which is all I intend him to have of my estate. Medford, late of said County is dead, having first made and published his last Will and Testament: and that there is no executor named there in. Further that the property of the said Reubin E. Medford consisting of horse, cows, hogs wagon, household goods valued at about $125.00 and lands willed is worth about $700.00; so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application and that Anzel Medford, Suell Medford, Hester Medford, A.L. Medford, Adele Mull, Haseltine Harrison, Lydia R. McClure, Sarah Ann C. Harrison, C.V. Medford, and Avery B. Medford children and Rebecca Medford the widow are the parties entitled under said will to the said property. Sworn to and subscribed before me, this 20th day of July 1895 C.V.
