NC Archives Haywood County Will Last Will and Testament of C. B. Mingus, 1880 In the name of God Amen. I C. B. Mingus of the County of Haywood & State of North Carolina being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. My will is first that my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid by my Executor hereinafter named. The residue of my estate and personal property I give to my wife Rebeca A. Mingus. I will that my wife have full control and benefit of my real estate during her natural life. After her death I will that my real estate pass in to the hands of my dear children absolute seven in number names as follows E Cassius L. Mingus, Eugenie C. Mingus, W Leonadus G. Mingus, Lilie M. Mingus, Sophia J. Mingus, Charlie B. Mingus, F. Gertrude Mingus. I appoint my beloved wife Rebeca A. Mingus my Executor to this my last will and testament. Signed Sealed and delivered by said C. B. Mingus to be his last will and testament in presents of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses here to in the presents of each other his the 31st day of December 1880.
