Hertford County, NC - John Sessoms Record, 1786 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1786 HERTFORD COUNTY [Court Document] State of North Carolina By the Justices of the County Corut of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County of Hertford. Whereas it hath been Certified unto us, that John Sessoms late of this County is dead, and hath no will, and Ann Sessoms appearing in Court, and prayed leave to administer the Estate of the said Deceased which was granted, where fore the siad Ann sessoms entered into Bond with Security as the Law in such cases direct, and was duly Qualifyed for that Office ~~~~ These are therefore to impower the said Ann Sessoms to enter into and upon all and singular the Goods and Chattles, Rights and Estates, of the said deceased, and the same into her Possession to take wheresoever in this State to be found and an Inventory though to Return on Oath into the Clerks Office with in ninety days from the date hereof And the said ann Sessoms is hereby required duly to administer the Estate of the said John Sessoms, and to pay all his just debts as far as the said Estate will extend or the Law shall charge.
