Indenture made Jan'ry 14, 1730 (sic) between Jacob Vize (sic) and Mary his 
wife and Henry Vize all of Bertie, for 4 pounds to be paid by Henry Vize to 
said Jacob Lewis and Mary his wife, land in Bertie beginning upon the mouth 
of the Wading Branch on the west side adjacent to Horse Swamp containing 50 
acres. Signed Jacob Lewis and Mary Lewis.
Witnesses: Moses Price and Nich's Fairless
