Indenture made Feb'y 9, 1724 between Anthony Lewis and Elizabeth his wife of 
the first part of Bertie and Lazarus Thomas of the other part, for 40 pounds 
Sterling land in Bertie adjacent to Deep Creek containing 300 acres.
Witnesses: William Little and Jno Sutton
