Indenture made September 20 1765 between Samuel Lewis of Bertie Co, NC 
Mariner and Jasper Charlton of Edenton (Chowan Co, NC), for 30 pounds 
proclamation money land in Bertie adjoining on the north to the land late 
belonging to Joseph Hardy and now in possession of said Jasper Charlton 
adjacent to the lands of mess'rs? Lockhart on the west side of Lockhart's 
land, on the east by Boswells land, on the south by said Charltons land 
containing 220 acres.
