Lemuel Nickalls Deed to Wm. W. Mitchell

This Indenture made this first day of October One Thousand Eight Hundred 
and Thirty Nine between Lemuel Nichols of the County of Hertford and State 
of North Carolina of the one part and William W. Mitchell of the same County 
and State of the said of the other part Witnessed that I the said Lemuel 
Nichols do for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to me in 
hand paid by the said William W. Mitchell the receipt whereof I doth 
acknowledge myself therewith fully satisfied and paid do bargain sell and 
release unto the said William W. Mitchell all a certain tract or parcel of 
land situated lying and being in the county of Bertie Containing by 
estimation one Hundred acres be the same more or less Bounded as follows,
viz - Beginning at Two Pines Standing by the run of Deep Branch thence a 
south course along a line of new marked trees to John Segars old line thence 
along said line to Abraham Morriss line his corner tree a post oak, thence 
along a line of marked trees through Hearts Delight Pocosin to said Nicholls 
line in the head of Deep Branch thence down the branch to the first station 
to have and to hold the Hereby Granted with all its appurtenances unto the 
said William W. Mitchell his heirs and assignees forever and I the said 
Lemuel Nichols do for myself my heirs and assignees forever warrant and 
defend the rights and titles of said land with all it appurtenances unto 
the said Wm W. Mitchell his heirs and assignees forever. In witness whereof 
I hath hereunto set my land and seal the day and date above written.

                          This Deed from Lemuel Nichols to Wm W. Mitchell
was proven in open court by the oath of Lanis Mitchell on of the subscribing 
witnesses thereto and ordered to be registered.
