March 1, 1721 - His Excellency John Lord Carteret Palatine and the rest of 
the true and absolute Lords Proprietors and according to our Great Deed of 
Grant bearing date May 1, 1668 given to our county of Albemarle under our 
hands and great seal of our said Province do hereby give unto Anthony Lewis 
Junr 640 aces lying on the south side of Meherron River adjacent to Robert 
Patersons corner, Anthony Lewis Senr corner being due for the importation of 
one person for every fifty acres as appears upon record under this patent 
with all the rights and privileges of hunting, hawking, fishing and fowling 
(except one half of all gold and silver mines) paying yearly every 9th day 
of September the fee rent of one shilling for every fifty acres.
