Bk G, pg 67 Indenture made 2 Mar 1746 between William Wynns of Bertie Merchant attorney of Thomas McClendon of Craven County, for 80 pounds paid by John Vanpelt of Bertie, land of said McClendons in Bertie on the WS of Chinkopan Swamp or Creek adjacent to a hickory on Chinkopen containing by patent 352 acres. Bk G, pg 175 Indenture made 2 Feb 1747/8 between Timothy Vanpelt and Thos Ryan both of Bertie, for 236 pounds two tracts in Bertie, one tract containing 200 acres lying upon the NS of Pellonell? pockoson and the other containing 100 acres upon the Great Beaver Dam likewise all my hoggs mark'd with a swallow for in the left ear and two under keels in the right ear.
