BRIDGER J. MONTGOMERY, the Senator from Hertford County, was taking his departure for home, his horse took fright and ran away; and in attempting to escape from the gig by leaping out, the General's leg was struck by the wheel, and considerably fractured. he was immediately conducted back to his lodgings where he at present remains. He is now, however, in a fair way of recovering from his wounds, and it is hoped will, in a short time, be able to resume his journey.
