N.J. McManus. Burial was in the church cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin in charge. Pallbearers were Livingston Sumner, Thomas Matthews, George Parker, Dillard Riddick, Jimmy Rose, Guy Thompson, David Wright and S.P. Burgess. Bailey, 48, died Monday in Goldsboro after a long illness. He was a son of O.M. Bailey and the late Mrs. Anne Cutchin Bailey and the husband of Mrs. Laura Parron Bailey. A native of Como, he was a member of Buckhorn Baptist Church. He was Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his widow and father surviving are three sons, Robert Cutchin Bailey U.S. Navy in Japan, William Ollie Bailey of Como, and Douglas Garland Bailey of the Navy in Norfolk; four daughters, Miss Nancy Elizabeth Bailey, Miss Audrey Inez Bailey and Miss Barbara Anne Bailey and Mrs. Helen Turner of Como; a brother, Wayne Bailey of Franklin; four sisters, Mrs. Robert C. Holland of Franklin, Mrs. J.R. Joyner of Courtland, Mrs. Greer Futtell of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Mrs. Madison Parker of Como; and three grandchildren.
