ALMA VIRGINIA BROWN BARMER

  SUFFOLK - A funeral service for Mrs. Alma Brown Brmer, 64, was held Wednesday 
at 2 p.m. in Woodland Baptist Church by the REv. Lewis Sutton. Burial was in 
Woodland Cemetery, Suffolk.*
  Mrs. Barmer, 64, of Rt. #3 Box 760, died Sunday at 5:35 a.m. in Obici Memorial 
Hospital after a long illness.
  A native of Hertford County, she was a daughter of Lonnie and Mrs. Janie Stein 
Brown and the widow of Arthur Barmer.
  She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
  She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ella Mae Roberts and Mrs. Betty Marie 
Carpenter of Suffolk, Mrs. Pattie Bell Marshall of Franklin, Mrs. Shirley 
Virginia Wheeler of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Doris Louise Jones of Aurora, Ill., two 
sons Burcher Brown Barmer of Woodland, N.C., and Jimmy Carol Barmer of George, 
N.C., one sister, Mrs. Eddie Morgan of Aulander, N.C., 17 grandchildren, and two 
great-grandchildren.
