Active pallbearers were: Ralph Barnes, Carroll Barnes, J.E. Gardner, Sherman Blow, David Sykes, Lewis Davis, J.G. Troutman and Troy Joyner. The honorary pallbearers were members of the Amoma Class, of which she was a member. The casket was covered with a pall of pink rose buds, baby breath and white lilies. During the services a quartette composed of Mrs. A.M. Williams, Mrs. P.T. Person, Mrs. H.M. Purviance and L.L. Story sang “Sometime We’ll Understand.” An appropriate solo, “Sunrise,” was sung by Mrs. H.M. Purviance. The choir sang “Face to Face” and “Nearer My God to Thee.” Burial was in Cemetery, Boykins.
