OWEN HUNTER BISHOP

THE TIDEWATER NEWS – 03-09-1934

   Owen Hunter Bishop, a native of Southampton County, died at the U.S. 
Veterans Hospital, Oteen, N.C., February 28, after an illness of five months. 
He was buried at Wake Forest, N.C., with military honors, the services being 
conducted from the Wake Forest Baptist Church by Dr. J.W. Lynch, assisted by 
Rev. J.A. Easley, burial following in the Wake Forest Cemetery.

   Mr. Bishop was the son of the late Robert Hunter Bishop of this county, and 
his mother is now Mrs. J. Frank Parker of Wake Forest, young Mr. Bishop having 
made his home there since 1900. He is also survived by his wife, the former 
Miss Kathleen Micheaux of Morganton, N.C.; two children, Eugenia and Barbara, 
and two sisters, Mrs. H.B. Glover of Statesville, N.C., and Mrs. J.X. Coxe of 
Raleigh.
