She was the wife of Lloyd H. Bittle and was a native of Hertford County and the oldest daughter of Mrs. William E. Bryant. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. J.V. Simmons of Newsoms, Mrs. Frank Railey of Como, Mrs. S.R. Simmons of Newsoms, Mrs. Louis Zehrbach of Franklin; three brothers, Pittman O. Bryant of Hampton, John E. Bryant of Boykins and Ernest M. Bryant of Elizabeth City. The funeral was conducted from the residence near Como, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 by her Pastor, Rev. A.K. Lambdin, assisted by a former Pastor, Rev. R.H. Marks of Capron, and Rev. Frank B. Handley of Boykins. The active pallbearers were: Frank Pope, Fred Brown, James Story, Dillard Riddick, Fred Baggett, Guy Hill, Russell Britt and Dennis Britt. Interment was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.
