   FRANKLIN – A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Betty Edwards Bryant was 
conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, N.C., by 
the Rev. John D. Davis.  W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

   Pallbearers were William Edwards, Vernon Edwards, Billy Edwards, Eddie 
Edwards, Dalton Edwards and Clyde Vinson.

   Mrs. Bryant, 67, died Saturday morning in a Burkeville hospital.

   A native of Hertford County, N.C., she was a daughter of Sam Edwards and 
Mrs. Daisy Holloman Edwards.

   She was a member of Petersburg Baptist church.

   Surviving are her husband, Simon Bryant; two daughters, Mrs. Retha Bridgers 
of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Mrs. Catherine Cottingham of Florence, S.C.; three 
brothers, Bagley Edwards of Franklin, George Holloman Edwards of Jacksonville, 
N.C., and Andrew Edwards of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Edwards 
Revelle of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
