GENEVA BOULDS COTTON

VIRGINIAN PILOT – 04-19-1956

   PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA – Mrs. Geneva Cotton, 63, wife of George Murry Cotton, 
3901 South St., died yesterday at 3:08 a.m. in a Portsmouth hospital. She was 
a daughter of the late James Joseph and Mrs. Annie Britt Boulds and was a 
native of Murfreesboro, N.C., but had made her home here for the past 42 
years. She was a member of the Westhaven Baptist Church. In addition to her 
husband, she is survived by a son, James M. Cotton of Portsmouth; two 
daughters, Mrs. Alma Ruth, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Mary Louise Spruill, of 
Norfolk; a brother, R.E. Boulds, of Portsmouth; stepmother, Mrs. J.T. Bueck, 
of Smithfield; and six grandchildren. The body will be at the Westhaven 
Baptist Church tomorrow at 2 p.m., and funeral services will be conducted at 
3:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
