Mrs. Cowan is survived by her husband, J.T. Cowan is survived by her husband, J.T. Cowan, of Sunbeam; two children by a former marriage, Rev. M.F. Draper, pastor of Fairmount Avenue Methodist Church, Richmond, and Mrs. C.K. Stone of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. H.P. Askew of Milwaukee, N.C., and Mrs. B.F. Traylor of Norlina; one brother, Willie Britton, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in Franklin, with Rev. C.F. Moseley officiating, assisted by Rev. C.P. Cleveland and Rev. B.B. Bland of Franklin. Interment was in Miles cemetery near Como. Pallbearers were Fletcher Worrell, Clarence L. Holland, Rosser Bryant, Lonnie M. Carter, J. Lonnie Modlin, Milton Miles, Pugh Holland and E.F. Drake.
