Obituary of Joseph Speight Darden

The Star, Raleigh, NC, Friday, November 24, 1815

    Died suddenly in Greene county, on the 21st Oct. in the
29th year of his age, J. S. Darden, Esq. Of the Epidemic
or sore throat.  Mr. D. was a man of amiable qualities,
and highly esteemed.

Joseph Speight Darden was the son of William Darden (1748-1801) 
and Susannah Speight Darden. He was born in Hertford County and 
moved to Dobbs Co as a child.
