MRS. ROXIE THOMPSON DUNN

   Mrs. Roxie Thompson Dunn, 87, a resident of Joyner since 1884, died at her 
home in that community on Thursday night, July 1, after an illness of many 
months.

   A native of North Carolina, Mrs. Dunn was born February 25, 1861, the 
daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Morgan Thompson. Her husband was the 
late Thomas Edmund Dunn. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church, 
Sussex County.

   Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. Frank Williams of Emporia, Mrs. Roy 
Stephenson of Ivor, Miss Lucille Dunn of Arlington, and Mrs. Bernice Dunn 
Mountcastle of Denver, Colo.; two sons, John Ryland Dunn and Paul Crawford 
Dunn of Joyner; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several 
nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Dunn were conducted Sunday afternoon at two 
o’clock at Antioch Church by Rev. Meredith K. Robinson and Rev. D. Edgar Wood, 
followed by burial in the church cemetery.
