NETTIE OWEN FREEMAN

   Mrs. Nettie Owen Freeman, 79, widow of the late John Freeman and daughter of 
the late Dr. Austin Everette Owen and Henryette Hall Owen, died at the home of 
her sister, Mrs. W.R. Moore, near Boykins, on Wednesday, August 31.

   Until a few months before her death Mrs. Freeman was active in church work, 
serving as a Sunday school teacher in the Ahoskie Baptist Church.

   She is survived by one brother, Richard Clement Owen of Norfolk, and two 
sisters, Mrs. J.E. Britton of Greensboro, N.C., and Mrs. W.R. Moore of Boykins.

   A short funeral services was held at the Ahoskie Funeral Home, and burial was 
in the family cemetery at Union, N.C.
