Obituary

Died at Murfreesborough on the 18th of September, Master James Gordon, student 
of Hertford Academy, aged 14 years. Of morals the most unsullied and pure, and 
of disposition the most gentle and accomodating. He possessed a brilliance of 
genius, a soundness of judgment, and a proficiency in his classical pursuits, 
unusual at his early age, which render his death peculiarly distressing to the 
fondest of parents.
