JESSIE VAUGHAN HARRISON

   AHOSKIE, N.C. – A funeral service for Jessie Vaughan Harrison, 59, was held 
at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. John’s Baptist Church by the Revs. Donald J. 
Christian and David C. Wheeler. Burial was in Ahoskie Cemetery, with Holland-
Rideout Funeral Home, Franklin in charge.

   Mrs. Harrison died Sunday in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

   A lifelong resident of Hertford County, she was the wife of Cola Harrison. 
She was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church and was former manager of Dowler 
Saber Store, Murfreesboro, and was a WAC during World War II.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Angela Brown Smithwick of Ahoskie; a 
sister, Mrs. Robert W. Rideout Sr. of Franklin and a grandson.

   Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
