MILDRED WHITE HILL

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Mildred White Hill, 92, died Sept. 24.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Eugene Hill; and first 
born grandson, James Eugene Hill.
  A native of Hertford County, N.C., she was retired as manager of the 
Murfreesboro High School cafeteria, was a longtime member of Murfreesboro 
Baptist Church, and was a recipient of the Murfreesboro Exchange Club’s 
Golden Deeds Award for Community Service.
  Survivors include two sons, Albert Hill Jr. and Bruce Hill of 
Murfreesboro; two daughters, Betty Barrett of Conway, N.C. and Judith Faison 
of Franklin; eight grandchildren, Teresa Hill Kelley of Suffolk, Kimberly 
Barrett Bryant of Woodland, N.C., Kent Barrett of Greenville, N.C. Jeffery 
Faison of Franklin, Lisa Faison Edwards of Courtland, Susan Hill Rose of 
Chapel Hill, N.C., Tina, Hill Edwards of Ahoskie and Anita Hill Futrell of 
Conway; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lassiter of Portsmouth, 
Ruth Lambeth of Murfreesboro and Kathryn Fordham of Chesapeake and one 
brother, James Maurice White of Suffolk.
  Graveside services were conducted Sept. 26 in Riverside Cemetery in 
Murfreesboro by Dr. Franklin B. Lowe. The family has requested that 
memorials gifts be shared with Murfreesboro Baptist Church, P.O. box 124, 
Murfreesboro, N.C. 27855. Bridgers Funeral Home, Conway, was in charge of 
arrangements.
